New major contract, BAB A3 Frankfurt - Nuremberg motorway

Josef Rädlinger Bauunternehmen GmbH has been awarded a new major contract for the A3 motorway. The widening of the BAB A3 Frankfurt-Nuremberg motorway to 6 lanes from the Baden - Württemberg state boundary up to Würzburg - West junction, from construction chainage 267+100 to construction chainage 278+020, will be carried out by the Rädlinger / Bögl JV.
Rädlinger will have overall technical control, its JV partner Max Bögl will be responsible for the commercial side.

The following construction work was carried out by Rädlinger:
Topsoil approx. 115,000 m²
Total earth moving approx. 320,000 m³
Frost protection course approx. 180,000 m³
Dismantling old carriageway approx. 230,000 m²
Asphalt base course, binder and mastic asphalt, each approx. 340,000 m³
The construction period is scheduled from March 2010 to December 2011, the employer is  Autobahndirektion Nordbayern, Würzburg office.
