Annual construction contract with REWAG

House connections, fault clearance, pipe construction – the annual construction contract between the Network Construction Department and REWAG in Regensburg covers a wide variety of different tasks. Since starting the contractual work at the start of the year, the team responsible for the contract has already remedied seven faults in the REWAG supply area. These include cable faults in the electricity network and burst water pipes. As well as the rectification of unplanned faults, the creation of gas, water and electricity house connections is also one of the main tasks; some of these have already been completed. In the middle of April, a project for the replacement of supply lines in the gas and water network is to begin.

The client, Regensburger Energie- und Wasserversorgung AG & Co KG or REWAG for short, has been responsible for a reliable and high-quality supply of energy and drinking water in and around Regensburg for more than 35 years. In 1976, the company emerged from the energy and water supply division of what was then Stadtwerke Regensburg, with the participation of the energy supply company Ostbayern AG (OBAG). The owners are the city of Regensburg (64.52 %) and Bayernwerk AG (35.48 %).
