"Award for Medium-sized Companies" for the Rädlinger company group

The gala for the "Award for Medium-sized Companies" took place in Würzburg on 29 September 2012. For the 18th time, the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation awarded the prestigious award to the most successful businesses. The participants of the "Award for Medium-sized Companies" comprised the growth elite of German medium-sized companies. They are companies, which manage their path with strong values, a clear strategy and high degree of flexibility. The nationwide 3,589 nominated companies were assessed in the following five categories. Overall development of the company, creation and securing of jobs and training positions, modernisation and innovation, commitment to the region, and service, customer proximity and marketing.

817 companies made the second round and 12 of these from Bavaria, Hesse, Thuringia and Baden Württemberg won awards.

The Rädlinger company group proved convincing in all five categories of transport infrastructure, engineering and machinery, photovoltaic systems, trenchless pipe rehabilitation and vocational training, in which it is active, and received the prestigious trophy on Saturday. The combination of financial and social stability, along with technical modernisation and innovation, convinced the jurors. The excellent overall development of the company from a gravel dredging firm to a company group with around 1,200 employees did the rest. Modernisation and innovation are reflected in many different products. An example of this is in the in-house developed piping system, "Primus Line". Not least, the Rädlinger company groups was able to score because of their local ties. Their involvement in regional clubs, public institutions and charities was particularly rewarded.

"Winning the prize of Germany's most important business is proof for us that we have gone the right way,", said Josef Rädlinger junior, "and an incentive to continue delivering the best performance. In light of the 50-year anniversary next year, the prize is a symbol of the performance of all employees over the last decades."
