Construction begins on the new B15new trunk road site

At the beginning of July, the starting shot was given for continuation of the major B15new trunk road construction site between Neufahrn and Ergoldsbach. The contract for the third part of the B15new with its 4-lane new road construction along 7 km was awarded to Rädlinger. The planned structures were built by the respective contractors before the roadworks began. Two bridges across the valley will be built at the same time as the Rädlinger work.

The road construction project includes the following work:
Approx. 100,000 m³ topsoil strip and cover
Approx. 800,000 m³ soil excavation
Approx. 21,000 m  drainage pipes
Approx. 100,000 m³ frost protection layer
Approx. 150,000 m³ asphalt roadbase course
Approx. 137,000 m³ asphalt binder
Approx. 130,000 m³ DSH-V 0/5
Approx. 12,500 m³ asphalt concrete
Approx. 6,400 m³ mastic asphalt
Approx. 7,800 m concrete barriers

In addition, during the scheduled construction period up to 15 November 2013, a junction and five stormwater detention ponds will be built.
